YES!
You will live forever. The question is—where? It can be Heaven—it’s up to you!
THE DEAD SHALL RISE
God will raise your dead body from the grave. John saw it in a vision and wrote: “I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it…. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it…and they were judged every man according to their works. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire” (Revelation 20:11-13, 15).
“It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” (Hebrews 9:27).
THE JUDGE—A MAN
The judge will be a Man. He also was dead. His body lay in a tomb. He is alive today in the same body of flesh and bones that was nailed to the cross. He is God’s beloved Son who died the horrible, agonizing death at Calvary to “put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.” (Hebrews 9:26). He suffered, “the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God” (I Peter 3:18). Now as the risen Man, “...he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by HIM” (Hebrews 7:25).
IF CHRIST BE NOT RISEN
If God’s Son is not now at His Father’s right hand in that same material body of flesh and bones that was laid in the tomb, then the race of Adam must perish under the judgment of God.
However, we have the testimony of our Lord Himself and the Holy Spirit through the apostles that JESUS is seated at the right hand of the Majesty on high today. God has exalted at His right hand that same flesh, Jesus, whom men abased by nailing to a tree.
He is the God-appointed Judge of all, and He will call forth from the graves both the saved and the unsaved at their appointed times.
The living Lord Jesus is God’s guarantee that all shall rise from the dead. “God…commandeth all men every where to repent: Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead” (Acts 17:30-31).
THE JUDGMENT
In that awful hour of judgment, you will stand before the Living Man, the Wounded Man of Calvary. The wounds He received provided eternal redemption for you. He will expose your record, uncover your sin. He will make no mistakes. He will offer no mercy, accept no alibis. You will have no appeal to a higher court. You will stand before the Supreme Judge of all mankind to receive the righteous wrath of an outraged God.
THE WAY OUT
You need not face this awful judgment. You don’t have to be lost forever. No, because this Man is not only the judge of all who reject Him; He is also the Savior, the way to Heaven, the way out of judgment for all who receive Him.
He said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6).
“There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus” (I Timothy 2:5).
Your part is to admit you are a lost, helpless sinner and receive Him as your Lord and Savior. “As many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God” (John 1:12).
Now read this: Our Lord said, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life” (John 5:24).
If you will “hear,” which means to consider Jesus Christ, and receive Him, which means to trust Him as your Lord and Savior,
YOU WILL RECEIVE ETERNAL LIFE RIGHT NOW!
