This may be a small piece of paper, but its message is absolute truth. Someone cared enough about you to make sure you received it, because they wanted you to know for sure you are saved.
Today, you are being asked the most important question of life. Your joy or your sorrow for all eternity depends upon your answer.
The question is: Are you saved? It is not a question of how good or bad you are, or if you are a church member, but are you saved? Are you sure you will go to Heaven when you die?
In the Scriptures, God gives us His crystal clear, simple plan of salvation. THIS IS THE GOSPEL.
1. GOD LOVES YOU THIS MUCH
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
God loves you so much he gave you the Gospel. God made you to know Him, to love Him, and to live with Him forever. But something has separated us from our Creator, something far more serious than most people realize.
2. YOU HAVE SINNED AGAINST GOD
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).
“There is none righteous, no, not one" (Romans 3:10).
You may not think of yourself as a bad person, but sin isn’t just murder or theft.
Sin is every lie, every selfish act, every wrong thought. It’s anything that falls short of God’s perfection as written in His Word. God sees it all, and He says we are guilty.
3. YOUR SIN HAS A PENALTY.
“For the wages (payment) of sin is death” (Romans 6:23).
Every job has a wage. Every crime has a consequence. God says the payment for sin is death. That includes two kinds of death:
Physical Death:
From the moment we are born, our bodies begin the process of dying. Death is the proof that sin exists — it entered the world when mankind disobeyed God. No amount of wealth, medicine, or strength can prevent that appointment.
“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned” (Romans 5:12).
Spiritual Death:
This is far more serious. It means eternal separation from God in a real place called Hell.
“And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire” (Revelation 20:14-15).
“...it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” (Hebrews 9:27).
That’s not scare tactics. That’s truth from God’s Word. Hell was never originally meant for you. But justice demands that sin be paid for. Someone must pay, you or a substitute.
4. JESUS IS THE ONLY SACRIFICE FOR YOUR SINS
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).
“...He hath made Him (Jesus, Who knew no sin) to be sin for us ... that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him” (2 Corinthians 5:21)
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
Here’s the greatest news the world has ever heard:
God became a man, Jesus Christ, and willingly stepped into our courtroom. At the cross, Jesus shed His blood for you. The blood of Jesus was not symbolic, it was the full payment for your sin.
“Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation (payment) through faith in His blood” (Romans 3:24-25).
5. YOU MUST PUT YOUR FAITH AND TRUST IN JESUS ALONE TO TAKE YOU TO HEAVEN.
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13). Whosoever includes you. Shall be saved means not maybe, nor can, but shall be saved.
“He that believeth on the Son (Jesus) hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son (Jesus) shall not see life (Eternal life)...” (John 3:36).
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9).
God offers salvation as a gift, not a reward. You cannot earn it with religion, baptism, or good works. You can only receive it by faith. To “believe” on Christ is not merely to agree that He exists, it is to trust Him alone to save you.
Jesus Himself said these words: “Repent ye, and believe the gospel” (Mark 1:15). Repentance means to reject any other way, including your own, and trust Jesus Christ only for salvation. It is not cleaning yourself up first; it is admitting that as a sinner you cannot save yourself and then fully trusting Jesus only to save you. The Bible says, “repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God" (Hebrews 6:1).
Jesus said He is THE way, not just A way. “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6).
Right now, you are standing at a crossroads. If you truly believe that Jesus died and rose again for you, He pleads with you to turn to Him in faith, and pray sincerely from your heart right now. Please call out to Him by faith right now!
YOU MUST CALL UPON JESUS TO SAVE YOU - A PRAYER OF SALVATION.
Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and that I cannot save myself. I believe Your words are true. I believe You are the Son of God who died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. By faith I receive Your gift of salvation. I call out to You to save me. I receive You right now as my personal Savior. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
If His plan is not perfectly clear to you, read this tract over and over, without laying it down, until you understand it.
Your soul is worth more than all the world. “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul?” (Mark 8:36).
IF YOU PRAYED AND ASKED GOD TO SAVE YOU
Do not trust your feelings. They change.
Stand on God’s promises. They never change.
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life” (John 6:47).
“These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life” (1 John 5:13).
Now that you are saved, grow in your new relationship with God by practicing three things every day:
- Pray — you talk to God.
- Read your Bible — God talks to you.
- Give someone the Gospel — you talk for God.
And remember: while baptism does not save you, it is the first step of obedience for every believer — a public declaration that you now belong to Christ. Be baptized in obedience to the Lord Jesus Christ, and unite with a Bible-believing church without delay, where you can grow, serve, and help others find the same Savior you have found.
You are not who you were. You belong to Jesus now. Live for Him, until the day you see Him face to face. Jesus saves!
